Toscano Rosso has become a celebrated modern rendition of Sangiovese, blended with international varieties allowing winemakers to create their own unique style. Our Santa Lucia Rosso blends Cabernet Sauvignon to create a deeply colored and intensly flavored wine.
Tasting notesDeep-garnet in color with a purple hue, the nose is intense with black cherry and black currant saesoned with spicy oak. The palate is rich and full with a firm structure and a long fruity, spicy finish.

The Castellani family founded the Santa Lucia estate in the 19th Century, near Pisa in Santa Lucia, Pontedera. The wines are made in a classic style with state of the art winemaking technology from Vermentino, Sangiovese (Grosso) and Ciliegiolo grapes.
Traditional vinification method: the matured grapes are hand-picked, fermentation
and maceration with skins take place at controlled temperature 20-23°C. The malolactic fermentation is in stainless steel tanks.
